Doonails, a brand specializing in female beauty products, particularly nail care, engaged us to create their eCommerce store from scratch on Shopify. The objective was to develop a stylish and functional platform that reflected their brand’s commitment to beauty and quality while providing an exceptional user experience and driving conversions.

Challange

Building Doonails’ eCommerce store from scratch required creating a site that accurately represented the brand’s identity and provided a superior user experience. The site needed to effectively showcase Doonails’ wide range of nail care products and support detailed product customizations.

Creating an intuitive navigation structure was key for allowing users to explore the product range effortlessly. Given the variety and customization options of Doonails’ products, product pages needed to be visually appealing and functionally robust. Additionally, maintaining high-quality visuals without compromising site performance was essential, as high-resolution images were necessary to highlight the quality and features of the products.

Our Findings

Our initial assessment highlighted the need for a clean, intuitive navigation structure to enhance user experience. Product pages required interactive elements and customization options to allow customers to fully appreciate the unique features of Doonails’ offerings. The site also needed to be optimized for mobile devices to reduce bounce rates and increase mobile conversions. Integration of marketing and analytics tools was necessary to track performance and drive sales effectively.

Our Solution

We developed a custom Shopify theme that aligned with Doonails’ branding. Interactive product pages were designed to allow customers to explore and configure their nail care products with various options, supported by high-resolution images and detailed descriptions. The navigation structure was streamlined with a mega menu and sticky header to improve user flow. The site was fully responsive, providing a seamless experience on all devices, and Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) were implemented to enhance mobile performance. Conversion rate optimization features such as quick view, wish lists, and abandoned cart recovery emails were added. On-page SEO best practices were implemented, and comprehensive analytics were set up to monitor site performance and gather actionable insights.

Results

The new Doonails eCommerce store achieved significant improvements post-launch. User engagement increased, with a 35% rise in average session duration and a 30% increase in pages per session. Conversion rates improved by 24% within the first three months, and mobile performance saw a notable boost with a 18% reduction in bounce rates and increased mobile transactions. The client received positive feedback from customers, who appreciated the enhanced user experience and ease of exploring and purchasing products. Overall, the project successfully met all objectives, demonstrating our ability to deliver a high-performing, visually appealing, and user-friendly eCommerce solution.
